Born and raised in Ahmedabad, India, I am an actor, writer, creator, and I have acquired training in the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio in New York. I am passionate about creating work that centers South Asian stories, drawing artistic inspiration from the parallel cinema movement and the rich theatrical tradition of my country.

I graduated with a BA in Drama and an Economics minor from Vassar College in 2020, and have trained previously at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Connecticut and Powerhouse Theater in New York. I developed my first play, h.b. floating palace, at the O’Neill, which culminated into two productions at Vassar, both comprising of a primarily South Asian cast—a staged play and a senior thesis, the latter of which was presented as a radio play in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am an ardent fan of Liverpool football club (it’s not soccer!), and consider Test cricket to be the purest form of any sport. In my spare time, I love consuming “artsy” content (rather self-importantly) and derive too much satisfaction in pretending to be a small town boy even though I grew up in a relatively medium-sized city!
